Fizi : APDC NGO sensitises children affected by War to go to school

Actions pour la paix et le développement communautaire (APDC) sensitised children affected by War to go to school.

This sensibilisation campaign took place at Fizi center in Majengo avenue, South Kivu province, eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was on Friday 20th September, 2024.

MUSHOSHI LASTON, advisor in APDC NGO encouraged these children to go to school and forget about War problems. A few of them were studying before, but were obliged to run away and stop studying because of War. Most of these children are orphans whose parents were killed during the War opposing Biloze Bishambuke against Gumino Twirgwaneho armed groups in the Highlands of Fizi, Uvira and Mwenga,in South Kivu province, eastern DR Congo.

The majority of these children were living at Bigalagala in the Highlands of Fizi. For now Bigalagala village remained empty because of repeated fightings.

These children have difficulties to have access to food and other basic needs.

We encouraged them to go back to school so that they can study in order to prepare better future.

They need uniforms, pens, school bags, etc so that they can  start studying.

We ask for people of good will to support them so that they can attend school.
